While you are visiting Burgundy, join Marjorie for a market tour and hands-on cooking class inspired by the season. We’ll meet in the morning for a café au lait and then head off to explore the local market where we will select the ingredients for your cooking class. As the class begins, crisp white aprons accompany a glass of chilled crémant, the region’s sparkling wine, in celebration of the bounty of Burgundy.
The menu is market inspired, local and organic and highlights the small artisan producers of the region. After your cooking class, you’ll sit down for a five-course lunch with wine specifically chosen to compliment the day’s menu. You will learn the secrets of shopping and cooking as the French do, cooking with the seasons and the joy of returning to the table.
The classes are taught in English and designed for small groups. French translation is available upon request. We explore the food and wine of this beautiful region while learning classic French techniques that will enable you to develop new skills to take home.
